I'm looking to buy a quality Power Washer and Quality Electric Edger to do a great job, not a sub par one, any suggestions on what to buy/where to look?

Answer
That depends on what kind of work you want to do. For instance:

For residential purposes, you will probably want something around 3200 PSI at 3 GPM, but for commercial properties, you will want something like 4000 PSI at 4 GPM.

If you plan on using it less than 20 hours a week, then save some money and get a direct drive model, but if you will be using it professionally, get a belt drive model. The pump won't have to work as hard and it will last longer.

If you are planning on doing something like driveways, i would get at least a 3200 PSI at 3 GPM model, and more if you can afford it. The reason is that if you do flat surfaces often, you will end up wanting to use an accessory called a surface cleaner to speed up your times. you have to make sure your machine is powerfull enough to run one, however. There are many good brands out there, Pressure-Pro, Hydrotek, MiTM, BE, Sioux... just do some homework online.

any recommendations for an electric pressure washer?

i need to clean about 500 s.f. of concrete that's turning kind of black. i'd rather not have another gasoline engine, and am hoping a decent electric can do the job, however i haven't seen many good reviews about electrics. professional cleaning is very expensive and renting isn't cheap either. scrubbing on hands and knees works fairly well, but it's a lot of work. thanks, john

Answer
As long as you get a 2000 psi electric (pretty much the max for 120 volts) it should do a good job. You can also get pencil point tips that increase the pressure even more. If you can scrub it off fairly easily, 2000 psi should blast it off no problem. I have a gas 3200 psi that I don't even use because it's to much for most things and I just want to clean my cars, not blow the paint off them. It's also noisy and a pain having to winterize it and add stabilizer to the fuel.
