What do you call the Straight pipe and 4 half cut washers inserted in it to silence the loud motor ?

Q. Can someone tell if the Straight pipe with 4 half cut washers silence the loud Harley Davidson motor along with a baffle maybe? Do you guys know what this is called? I want to make my bike extra quite? is it possible to achieve better results maybe like an oval car muffler. I saw that on a website on howstuffworks.com I guess and it dramatically cuts the noise on a Harley with already with baffles. I can only go 2" and maybe 2.5" tall and maybe 5" wide. Should I loop the pipe and add extra washers or another baffle for maximum the maximum resonation like a car muffler?
Dude don't answer if you don't know what it is if i knew what it was I wouldn't ask to public what it was.

So you buy a 2" pipe and make 2 sets of slices half way on the side of the pipe and 2 more on the opposite side of the pipe with 2-3 inches space. And Cut 2" washers (with tiny holes or no holes) in half and stick them in the sliced slots and that forces the exhaust to go zig zag... It is suppose to silence the motor.. Does it work? What is this called? Help me to keep my annoying motorcycle noise down folks! lol
correction to my art because of the previous whitespace problem...

Old school bikers call these (or the idea of these)"Lollipops". Back in the day when a guy would put straight unbaffled drag pipes on his bike he would need some back pressure for it to run better and not backfire. So they would drill a hole(s) in the side of the exhaust, weld a washer to a bolt, insert the bolt/ washer from inside the pipe and tighten it down with a nut from the outside.

It will also quiet it down, especially with several lollipops. If you are willing to scrap your drag pipes then give it a try, but I don't think this or the configuration you are proposing are going to make it "Extra quiet". Harley's stock pipes are pretty darn quiet.....i hated mine so i took 'em off. You can also buy quiet baffles but almost nothing is gonna make straight pipes as quiet as I think you are wanting.

Dish washer water level?

Mega

Whirlpool quiet partner iv.
Over last 3 years
I have replaced a broken chooper strainer screen.
I have cleaned the water inlet filter twice.
I have disassembled the internal compontents many times to clean debris broken glass paper etc.
I have good water pressure(yes valve is open I dont want to start here)

Lately the quality of washing has been getting worse, I feel that the water level is not getting to the proper level(water pressure and filters are SAT), it never reaches the bottom of the float(yes voltage tests there are SAT). The upper spray arm will not rotate due to low water level. If I add a gallon of water to tub after it starts everything comes out fine and everything rotates. Is there a timer I can adjust so the water valve stays open for a few more seconds, as I have stated the water never gets to the float so something else is stopping the water valve. I am not intending to sound all uppity here I just do not want to start over with "is it plugged in".
Thanks

I would call a local dealership and visit with a serviceman, run these questions past this person to get some answers. Three years is to quick to consider replacement as I believe, that the average dish washer should last 10 or 12 years, Good Luck.

What kind of Pressure Washer should go with?

king

I am basically build a mobile detail trailer (but for personal use), what is a good Pressure Washer, generator that i should get. and is there anything else beside the water tank that i will need. Also do i need to buy the parts to hook everything together? Keep in mind i am trying to do this without breaking the bank. Thanks for your help

Answer
I think the first thing you are going to want to ask yourself is which type power washer you are going to want: a cold or hot water power washer. There is a big difference in price between the two, but most professionals that I know doing it full time start off with a cold water machine and as their business grows move up with equipment as most businesses do. Once you decide in type, ask how many hours a year you are going to be using this washer. Most homeowners use theirs once or maybe twice a year so a five year warranty works for them and they let price guide them as to pressures and brands, but if you are going to use this commercially the manufacturer warranty wouldn't cover it for long so you should concentrate on a machine that is more commercially oriented to last longer. The generator in my opinion if you can afford one is a Honda, super quiet and with care will last forever. Probably the best advice I could give you would be to see if you know anyone or their friends that currently own a pressure washing business and pick their brains.

What would be the best deal on a pressure washer for auto detailing?

Connor

Answer
That's not enough information to base a reasonable answer on.
Not enough details.

ADDED:
If it's going to be sitting in one spot go with an electric one 1500 psi.Less maintenance required, quieter, and has auto shutoff.

If you need to move around a house or something, or use it in remote locations like out of the back of a truck, go with a gas powered one. 2000psi

I only had my maytag bravos quiet 300 series washer for about a week brand new and now it's flashing F:01?

KUSE60

Why is it doing that I've read online it's the circuit board but the washer is only 1wk old. Is it that too much detergent was put in? Or that I have to clean the filter thing. For the pump?

Answer
f1 is pressure switch on control board not sensing pressure or water level, you might of use to much soap and have it sud locked, 1/4 cup of detergent on largest load, make sure drain hose is not pushed too far in house drain line--about a foot at most, unplug unit for a minute plug back in and try to start, if you cant get started it will be a faulty control

I have a whirlpool silent partner 1 dish washer....?

...The clean light flashes and will only drain. what do i do? Justin.
After the last cycle the clean light began flashing and the only function i can perform is the drain cycle. I put water in manually and it does drain but light continues to flash and cannot start new wash cycle. Any suggestions? Thanks,
Justin.

Answer
The problem could also be the door switch. Here are a couple users' solutions:

"Yes this is a heater fault detection error. The unit may not be heating the water resulting in unsanitary dishes so the unit shuts down in this fault. Also the door may not have completely shut resulting in the heater not working, but everything else does (the heater common line is broken at the door switch. Clear the fault by entering diagnostics with this key dance heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal. All the leds will light, you can then press cancel and try another wash cycle. If fault occurs again, you must repair heater problem."

or

"Try the door switch! Take the metal tab that the door latches on to and bend it down just a little. This fixed my problem! Push on the door when it closed to close it tighter. If you here a click, and then another click when you release the pressure then the switch could be your problem.

Thanks to 'the dr' I fixed my machine. I have been trying to fix my Quiet Partner III for months now, I knew it had to be something fairly simple, because it appeared to function fine except for the heating element, which I was not sure was working. I had to keep clearing the fault to get the machine to run, but it always stopped short and gave the blinking clean light. I read lots of posts about the possibility of the heating element being bad or the contol board, but this was the first one I read that mentioned the door switch, I had assumed that there was just one switch in the door latch. There are in fact two. One for everything except for the heating element and one for the heating element. When I pushed on the switch in the door, I could hear two clicks, one right after the other. If I pushed the door in a little harder, after the door was closed, I could hear the second click which promptly unclicked when I relieved the pressure. I knew then that I had found the problem. Bending the thin metal piece that the door latches onto fixed the problem! "
