i know you dont NEED a pump but my set up is not the best and does require one

Answer
Mobile car wash systems, pressure washers and car wash business opportunities are available at Detail King.pressure washers are designed to be able to drawl water from a standing tank (static source). It does not matter if the pressure washer is a 2000, 2500 or 3500 psi tank it is how the valves were designed in the pump. Check out our line up of pressure washers. Most are equipped with soap injectors and are very easily mounted to floors of vans, pick up truck beds, and trailers. We also offer mobile detail trailers, water tanks and car wash soap for power washers, and pressure washers.

How do I hook up a pressure washer to a water supply tank?
I'm trying to expand my business by adding a mobile detail unit and residential pressure washing. I know I need a gas powered pressure washer and a 50-250 gallon water supply tank but how exactly do I connect them together for the water to work?

Answer
use metal hose fittings and get some ""heavy duty"" hose to connect the water supply tank to the pressure machine === I would go with the reach of the pressure hose extensions and leave the ""pressure machine securely mounted to the truck [[ rounded head bolts are called stove/carriage bolts and at night add some big link chair and a big=visible lock to discourage any would be night time shop=lifters //// that's what I would do ]] hope it works for you ................

Pressure Washer Trouble?

timetolear

I have the water hooked up to the pressure washer and the gun the water shoots out of hooked up as well. I started it up and the water that came out the gun was not as strong as it usually is. I am not sure what the problem is, I have run on and I have the lever towards the rabbit, and it has a full tank of gas. Anyone know what could be causing the gun not to shoot the water out with as much pressure?

Answer
From your description, you have a low priced pressure washer, probably 3 hp engine. There are two possible problems. The pressure relief valve may be leaking by or stuck partly open or the pump may be failing. The pressure relief valve is usually part of the pump, so either problem requires dismantling the pump assembly. Most of the low priced pressure washer pumps are "throw away," not worth repairing. You may be able to buy a replacement pump from the manufacturer, but the cost of the part and shipping is usually more than the washer is worth. Good luck.

Can I turn a pressure washer into a air compressor to fill up paintball tanks?

Derek Medi

Like buy parts to do so.

Answer
Simple answer: No

Complex answer: Why do you think you can turn a pressure washer into an air compressor? Air compressors and pressure washers are two completely different animals. You can't even use a regular air compressor to fill up a paintball tank. The best place to fill up your tank is to go to your local paintball field. If you don't have one nearby, you can ask your local fire station to fill it up if they allow it.

How do you correctly set up large chemical tank to my 5000 lb pressure washer?

Rick

Have large pressure washer on my farm. Want to install a 300 or so gallon water and chemical tank. Need to know what chemicals to add in the correct ratio, and if a water pump is needed between the tank and the pressure washer water inlet. At the present, I have a direct drive pump which i think runs at 3500 rpm under full load.
Need chemicals for the polebuildings, tractor grease and stuff like the concrete pad as well as the wood buildings.
Also if you suggest an injection unit for the chemicals, do I need a pump for that also as my suction one doesn't pull enough chemicals (when fully open & cleaned out ) for me.

Answer
Gravity flow will handle the pump feed from the tank to the washer you just have to remember that the tank needs to be up hill from the washer when the volumn in the tank gets low. As far as the chemicals you want to use for cleaning I've found that an auxillary sprayer, not high pressure, is best for that application since the pressure washer doesn't give the chemicals time to do their job.

Pressure Washer float tank?

tsb1973

I have a direct drive pressure washer, if the tank is full it runs fine, but if the water level drops even a bit it starts to pulsate. Can I bypass the float tank and hook up the municipal water direct to the inlet?

Answer
you probably could bypass but tank is there to allow for addition of cleaning chemicals or detergent you would lose that option you may have debris or something in tank or suction line when pump runs it draws gunkinto lines and plugs or partilly blocks flow try thourougly cleaning system before you bypass

why is my water tank not feeding my pressure washer?

Tony

starting a mobile detailing business, and i can 't get any pressure from my tank and pressure washer

Answer
are you sure the line isnt airlocked? also you need to consider the height and water level in the tank as this will affect the gravity feed. Check the diameter of the feed pipe as the washer will need a certain water flow to function properly. Pressure washers DO NOT suck water in, they must be supplied with the correct flow rate, i suggest using a clear hose as a feed pipe as then you can visually check for air leaks and water flow

i have a rockworth 4hp pressure washer can i feed water straight to the pump from a tank?

Q.

Answer
As long as the tank water level stays higher than the pressure washer input.Otherwise your pump will run dry and void your warranty(also ruin your pump seals).

Can high pressure washers fill air in high pressure air tanks?

jacques[*]

Can these devices be used to fill high pressure air tanks?

Answer
Never heard of that. A high pressure washer blows water, not air. If you tried to run it without water, it would burn out the pump. You need an air compressor to fill an air tank (or another already filled air tank, I suppose).

Is it possible to convert a pressure washer into a flamethrower?

Do most commercial pressure washers leak? I don't want to run the risk of a tank full of alcohol leaking on a portable electric power cell.

Answer
Wow.
Where to start?
I don't think the internal components are capable of withstanding attack from the alcohol which would certainly lead to leaking.
You need a way to safely pressurize the alcohol.
The tip and the nearby region needs to be heat resistant (metallic), most are just high performance plastic in a regular (non-flamethrower)pressure washer.
After solving those problems, there is the inherent danger of flamethrower operation and potential runaway combustion and explosion. I guess I would advise proceeding extremely carefully or completely abandoning this project to be safe.

How many gallons/ litres of water required to wash an suv using pressure washer?

How many gallons/ litres of water required to wash an suv using pressure washer?
Could some please tell me the quantity of water required to wash a mid sized suv like Toyota FJ Cruiser or Nissan Xterra using a medium sized pressure washer(Karcher)?
Many thanks in advance.

Answer
I could answer more certainly if you listed the gallons per minute on your pressure washer but I used to clean industrial batteries with a pressure washer. I had a 30 gallon tank and that would last for quite a while. I think you would probably use about 10 gallons of water to wash an SUV if you're talking about spraying it down well, sponging everything, spraying off the soap, then spraying down the tires and rims.

If you're thinking of using a water tank keep in mind that some pressure washers don't work well without water pressure and all pressure washers have trouble starting without water pressure. The pump will pull more water in while its running but if it has air in it it won't pull water. you can cheat by putting the water tank higher than the pump. and depressing the trigger when the washer is off. that allows water to flow into the pump.

I am looking to wash the undercarriage of my car. I live in an apartment, and don't have access to a water source. I am finding it impossible to find a pressure washer that has its own tank. The few I found seemed to stop selling in the US (Nomad pressure washer comes to mind).

My car has a special paint, and cannot run through a car wash. I think I can use the self-service, but if there is a different solution, I would like to go that route instead.

Any advice?
Thanks for the advice William - I sadly moved into a big city for work, and all my friends have similar living situations :'(

What's the best electric pressure washer for detailing cars?

black_ice_

I'm looking for a good quality pressure washer for cleaning cars. It needs to be able to draw from a water tank without assistance, and it needs to be reliable. About $200 is my budget, but I'd like to keep it as cheap as possible while still keeping quality.

Answer
For $200 you are not going to get any kind of quality pressure washer.
You need a washer which operates at 1800 PSI or higher pressure output to perform effectively. They start at around $350 - $400 dollars. I do not know of any commercially available pressure washers which will draw from an unpressurized tank - they all are designed to operate from a pressurized hose delivering 3-5 GPM @ 20+ PSI.

Can I use regular car wash soap in the soap tank on a pressure washer safely?

To wash my car, I use the low pressure nozzle on my pressure washer. Can I add regular car wash soap to my 1 gallon soap tank on the pressure washer? I don't want the soap to gum up or cause any kinds of problems with the pressure washer. If this isn't a good idea, could you give me some other ideas?

Answer
The use of car wash soap in your pressure washer certainly shouldn't cause any problem, just be sure to completely rinse the soap tank when you finish. Don't allow the soap, even diluted, to set in the tank when it's not in use.
