Answer
the first two answers you got about pressure washing there is a few details left out that could destroy our deck im serious!! pressure washers usually have like 1200 psi 1400psi 1600,up to 3200. psi is pounds per square inch trust me stanger it is very easy to damage the lumber on your deck when pressure washing it there is also a risk for you too!! wear boots do not play around these are dangerous machines they can cut limbs off so if you choose to pressure wash be careful they are powerful enough to strip the paint of lumber with ease. when you get the deck ready for stain i highly suggest that you use a water sealant/stain they do have sealants that have color like a redwood tint, maple, red oak and so on. i have built many decks and restored many in my days as a contractor. if you choose to do as i suggest and use a sealant/color the best way to apply it is to use a pump sprayer like what us use to spray for weeds or bugs, i kid you not just fill it up tighten the lid pump it up and spray heavley products like thompsons are great to use, do not freak out when us spray it it looks like you just used elmers glue it applies white but dries clear or the the sealent tint you choose. its a fast easy to do your project. you can spray the railing, posts, floor, apply it heavy it dry fantastic.

Wanting to buy a Power Washer/Electric Edger?
Peter
I'm looking to buy a quality Power Washer and Quality Electric Edger to do a great job, not a sub par one, any suggestions on what to buy/where to look?
Answer
That depends on what kind of work you want to do. For instance:
For residential purposes, you will probably want something around 3200 PSI at 3 GPM, but for commercial properties, you will want something like 4000 PSI at 4 GPM.
If you plan on using it less than 20 hours a week, then save some money and get a direct drive model, but if you will be using it professionally, get a belt drive model. The pump won't have to work as hard and it will last longer.
If you are planning on doing something like driveways, i would get at least a 3200 PSI at 3 GPM model, and more if you can afford it. The reason is that if you do flat surfaces often, you will end up wanting to use an accessory called a surface cleaner to speed up your times. you have to make sure your machine is powerfull enough to run one, however. There are many good brands out there, Pressure-Pro, Hydrotek, MiTM, BE, Sioux... just do some homework online.
