spampinato

karcher 2400 psi power washer sat in storsge for 2 years runs fine but i had to put a new wand on first start i had pressure let go then no pressure now look at owners manual said to purge for air so i did and nothing i have no leaks or blockages pump seems alright any help would be great thanks

Answer
This is one you can fix yourself and pretty fast. The relief valve is stuck in the open position. Remove it clean it of grease it up put it back in and you are away. This is a very common problem with all household type pressure washers. I have three and have to grease up at least two of them after sitting in the garage over winter.

Paint removal from concrete?

russell h

What size "pressure washer" will I need to remove paint from concrete or will I have to use a "sandblaster?"

Answer
I think that 2400 psi would do it for a pressure washer, but u should use muriatic acid (Hydrochloric Acid) instead. Just be careful, it is very toxic and it can severely burn your clothing and skin. Also use it in a well ventilated area because the fumes are toxic to the lungs and eyes. It will burn the paint off the concrete.
