I need a pressure washer for a mobile car wash what type of pressure washer should I be looking for (PSI,HP, and GPM)

For cars only you simply need a 2000 psi..You definately want one with a ohc engine on it..not the common mower type engine...Most "honda" engines on pressure washers are ohc's (overhead cams)..get one that has a gun that has exchangeable tips and not the ones that you twist the heads to adjust it...these bend and clog up and require buuying a whloe new gun... 5 hp is plenty good..3,5 actually for just cars will

First, hook the hose to the pressure washer. Hook the pressure washer to the facet. Turn on the facet. Pull start the pressure washer. This should work like a mower 2 cycle engine.
Use the gun part and pull the trigger. Hold the end of the gun about 2 inches away from and HARD surfaces, like brick or concrete. Increase the distance with the fragility of the surface, glass for example needs to be at least 2 feet.
It is better to brush in some cleaning solvent before using high pressure water.

I live in a small block of flats and was thinking of getting one to clean the landing and stairs, what i was wondering was if i connect it to the water tap out the back garden can i connect a hose to that so that the washer reaches up the stairs? I have never used one before so im not sure if you can only connect the washer direct to the tap.

you always use a hose with a pressure washer and you can rent one with a good PSI rating 2500 to 3000 that will really clean your landing or buy one at home depot I just bought one that is 2600 PSI with a honda moter for 299$ it has a 25 foot hose to the gun and I use a 100 ft garden hose and I can reach anything

How can i tell what pressure my pressure washer is at?

I have a 3800 psi dewalt pressure washer and im wanting to turn it down to about 3000-3300 psi but im not sure to tell what psi im at while turning the pressure down.
If anyone could help me out id appreciate it!

What you would have to do is connect a pressure gauge between the end of the hose and the gun. Run the pressure washer with the gun's trigger pressed so there's water flow and check the pressure it is shooting water. To adjust it to the pressure you want you can either use the unloader to regulate pressure or adjust the engine's rotation which would also regulate pressure.

You can still do it but dont expect to do much skiing on it. The big guns up North are fed by fire hoses and high, I mean high pressure air. As long as the water is atomized and you have some air pressure to force it into the freezing air, below 32 will make the kids happy and yourself too. Gets better when the temp is closer to 20f. . How can I remove marks from a composite deck from pressure washing too close?

I used a pressure washer on our back deck and got to close when doing some furniture and the steps and removed to color and left marks all over the deck. Any idea how to fix it? Would bleach work?

NO to the wire brush ... don't ad a metal to start a reaction on the deck.

give it time in the sun. if you bleach it its going to fade a lot.

you can use a deck cleaner. that will also fade the deck some. We have use a heat gun to get scratches out with very good results. We were shown that technique at a trex factory.
Be careful stay back to not burn the deck.

Last idea you could also through a big party and let every walk on it.

for air compressor tools. when do I really need more than 90psi?

do i need to buy an air compressor more than 100psi? or is 115 recommended.

The problem is volume of air. A compressor that is 150psi and a 5 gallon resovour has 7.5 gallons of useable psi at 100psi. Get the math? If your using a framing nailer is using .1cuft per shot at 100psi and you have a compressor with 5 gallons at 100psi your going to be turning on your compressor pump every 10th shot. those factors get worse the more use you have. An air rachet uses a lot more volume, a paint sprayer even more. If you use a air sander you use a lot too.
