I need help finding out where the oil plug is located on a troy bilt pressure washer model number 020344 before I can change the oil. I would like to do this before I use it this summer.
Thanks for any help.

Answer
The manual states you can change the motor oil from the top by tipping it over and drain it from the dipstick hole with the air clearer side up as you tip it. You can drain it from the bottom by removing drain plug with a ratchet and square extension, oil can be drained from engine bottom. Also you must change the pump oil every 50 hours or once a year according to the manual. To change the pump oil, use a 8mm allen wrench to remove black pump oil cap between high pressure outlet and garden hose inlet. I have this pressure washer and I change the oil from the bottom. There is no drain hole near the dipstick on mine

Sorry for the vague description but I got a call from a friend asking for help. Here is what he said to me:

It is an electric pressure washer with an on off switch on the device itself, and a reset and test button on the power plug. He doesn't have a manual so he is following the directions on the plug (press reset, power must be on, press test, power must be off) but it doesnt work...Can any one help him out?

Answer
These are usually very simple to operate;
1) Connect and turn on the water
2) Plug in the power.
3) Check that the power plug is ON
4) Turn ON the switch on the pressure washer.
5) Squeeze the trigger. This should start the washer.

If nothing happens, check that there is power at the electrical outlet.
If you have power, and still no water pressure from the trigger, then probably some thing is defective.
