I have a brand new (not used yet) Craftsman pressure washer. I cannot find anywhere in the manual where it talks about pump oil. Is there even oil in the pump, do i need to change it periodically? I don't want to do something incorrect and end up paying for avoidable repairs.
Forgot to add this is a gas unit but i am wondering about the water pump, not the engine.

Answer
don't think there's oik in it unless its a gas powered unit and then if its a 2 cycle gas engine they take a gas/oil mix in the tank and do not require oil in a crankcase

how do i change the oil on a troy bilt pressure washer?

I need help finding out where the oil plug is located on a troy bilt pressure washer model number 020344 before I can change the oil. I would like to do this before I use it this summer.
Thanks for any help.

Answer
The manual states you can change the motor oil from the top by tipping it over and drain it from the dipstick hole with the air clearer side up as you tip it. You can drain it from the bottom by removing drain plug with a ratchet and square extension, oil can be drained from engine bottom. Also you must change the pump oil every 50 hours or once a year according to the manual. To change the pump oil, use a 8mm allen wrench to remove black pump oil cap between high pressure outlet and garden hose inlet. I have this pressure washer and I change the oil from the bottom. There is no drain hole near the dipstick on mine
