My painted deck is peeling badly. I'd like to strip the paint and stain it. What's the best way to do this?

Will I need to sand it, or will a pressure washer do the trick? Can anyone point me to a good website with step by step instructions? I'm not having much luck. Also, any tips from those who have done this will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Answer
Please know that if you pressure wash a deck that's got a lot of chipped paint on it. You will have wet paint chips all over the place. Big mess! and you probably will have a lot of paint still on the deck after your done power washing it. If you want to stain it then I would recommend either stripping the paint with a product called "Marine stripper". The best stripper I know of. Or sand it all down with a belt sander. Do you want to stain it with a clear stain or a solid one. When you completely remove all the paint. Stain a couple of the boards at a time using a brush. This is so that the stain doesn't dry on you before your done with a particular section and thus you avoid over-lapping in the final results. Let it dry a day or two. then your good to go. The big problem with decks is that if you paint them. You have to keep repainting them. But If you stain them. Then you can re stain them again and again with little or no problem. If I had to choose a route that would be easiest and most cost effective. I would paint it. I would just scrape it down real good. vacuum up the paint chips. Clean it with a bucket filled with hot water mixed with bleach. spray it off with a garden hose. Let it dry a couple of days. And Prime/Paint it with a good deck paint. If your deck is made of pressure treated wood (Green color wood). Then this may explain why the paint is peeling badly. You will have to use a certain type of stain if this is the case or just leave the wood bare.

What equipment would I need to start a mobile car wash?

sweet a

I know that I need rags, brushes, products etc. What I dont know is what do I buy to get the water to wash the cars, like what powers the pressure washer, etc

Answer
Most people use a gasoline powered pressure washer. You can get water either from a long hose ran to a nearby building, or you can get one of those large water tanks, usually 90+ gallons. Most people mount the pressure washer and tank combo to a small trailer, or inside a large work van.

Then, like you said your soaps, cleaners, waxes, polishes, chamois, a vacuum, interior carpet cleaner, a brass brush, a ton of rags, etc.

Its all at www.detailking.com

How can i tell what pressure my pressure washer is at?

pressure washer gauge on Comet 1500 Classic Hot Wash Pressure Washer - No Hose Reel (GMSC150)
pressure washer gauge image

N/A

I have a 3800 psi dewalt pressure washer and im wanting to turn it down to about 3000-3300 psi but im not sure to tell what psi im at while turning the pressure down.
If anyone could help me out id appreciate it!
Thanks!

Answer
What you would have to do is connect a pressure gauge between the end of the hose and the gun. Run the pressure washer with the gun's trigger pressed so there's water flow and check the pressure it is shooting water. To adjust it to the pressure you want you can either use the unloader to regulate pressure or adjust the engine's rotation which would also regulate pressure.
If you need a gauge here is the link to a 5000 psi one. There are more on the website in case you think this one is too much.

Briggs and Stratton engine wont start?

goodnused

Asking this question for a friend. He said that the engine acts like it is not firing or getting spark. He replaced the spark plug, also checked the air gap on the magneto...still nothing, he said. Wants to know how much compression the engine should have with a regular automotive Compression gauge? Could the engine be "OUT OF TIME" or have a broken key way??? The engine is on a pressure washer....about 3 years old. CRAFTSMAN. Any ideas would be helpful. Wouldn't fire or try to start using Starting Fluid also, so he doesn't think it is a fuel problem. Thank you for any suggestion or help in advance.

Answer
Briggs & Stratton does not rate the compression of the engine, we recommend the use of a leak-down tester. As for the engine not starting, the most likely issue is a clog in the carburetor. The carburetor should be overhauled and cleaned. After that you can check the flywheel key to see if it has been sheared. Then check the spark plug wire on the magneto and that it is connected properly.

I am looking to wash the undercarriage of my car. I live in an apartment, and don't have access to a water source. I am finding it impossible to find a pressure washer that has its own tank. The few I found seemed to stop selling in the US (Nomad pressure washer comes to mind).

If you wanted to run a cleaning business for cars, patios, boats, utility trailers etc? Would an electric pressure washer cut it, or would gas powered be best? Does the water temperature matter?

Answer
one key point applies to u.k. we call leisure vehicles that you tow behind your car - caravans. I think you call them fifth wheelers. you must not use a pressure washer on these as it washes out the mastic sealant, result- scrap vehicle. for an electric one you would also need a petrol (gas) run a a/c generator, as you would not always have access to electric and could hardly expect to use your customer's power. mostly you would only need cold water, you get special soap suds for low temp use

pressure washer pump replacement image

bamafansin

I need to order another fitting for it but don't know the exact name for it. Its the plastic peice that i screw my garden hose into that has a quick disconnect on the other end to connect to the pump.

Answer
Since there are a number of different "quick disconnect" coupling systems used by various manufacturers, you need to start by identifying the manufacturer of the pressure washer, if they provided the fitting with the new system, or the fitting manufacturer if the pressure washer manufacturer did not supply the fitting with the pressure washer. The fitting/coupling will likely have a manufacturers name / mark and model / part number on it.

The pressure washer manufacturer will likely have a web site (which you find by using the brand name to find their main web site) that sells replacement parts, but you will need their model number (or be able to identify the unit visually) in order to choose the right unit from which to choose / identify a component.

The garden hose is on the water "supply side" of the pressure washer, should that come up when trying to identify the components.

How do I clean my D.E pool filter?

STEVE A

Closing inground pool for winter. What is the best way to care for the (socks?) filter grids?

Answer
I have a Diatomaceous Earth filter on the pool on my California house. I keep that pool open all year round, but I do clean the DE filters about every 3 months or so. It's actually pretty easy.

-Shutdown the pump and open the cock-valve on top of the filter housing to let the pressure equalize.

-Loosen the clam-shell clamps, remove the bracket and remove the top of the filter housing.

-The filter assembly should be secured by hardware in the center. Remove the hardware (usually a hex nut and lock washer) and lift the entire assembly out of the filter housing. (There may be some resistence due to the o-rings so rock the assembly back and forth as you lift.)

-The filters are pretty easy to clean with just a garden hose. As long as you've always made sure to add DE after each backwash, then the scum should come off the filter nets wihtout too much trouble. If additional cleaning is needed, the filter assembly can be taken apart but it's somewhat difficult to put back together... you'll want 2 or 3 extra hands to reassemble it. I normally just leave it in 1 piece and try to clean it as best I can that way.

-It's a good idea to change the o-rings before your put the filter assembly back into the filter house. Your local pool supply store should have the parts (like Leslie's Pool Supply). Wiping a thin film of vaseline on the o-rings will help it slide back together, but only a THIN film! Any excess will end up in the filter screen.

-Since the screens are totally clean now, make sure to add as much DE as when the filter was new the next time you run the pump.

Getting the screens good and clean from beginning to end would usually take a little less than an hour and two or three beers.

Note: The o-rings I mentioned usually last 2 or 3 years which means yours might just shred as you're taking the filter assembly out. To save time, get replacement o-rings in advance.

Thank you

Next time use 20 minutes, a yard broom and a bucket of weak bleach solution.

Answer
I work on pressure washers for a living and see this daily! It's just an "O-Ring" has split and is allowing water to leak out. Find the o-ring that isn't an "O" but more of a "C" and replace it, problem solved! Sears has o-ring kits in the stores with several sizes of o-rings in it. Use the instructions included to select the right ring!

Answer
I bet your not depressing the trigger on the gun handle when you start it are you? This makes them hard to start and will also ruin the seals in the pump..you always squeeeze the trigger and let the water flow for at least a minute to get all air out and keep holding the trigger while you start it , or it will start and bog down and die..you will decacipate the pump..IS this what is happening?

How do I start my own mobile detailing ?

Rafael

I'm 20 years old live in Los angeles I have a truck & some experience in detailing/washing & some clients!

What are the basics things too buy just too start ? Any heads up ?

I was thinking pressure washer vacumme Busines cards flyate generator & washing utensils & water tank?

I have $500-700 budget!

Answer
You just about got the list right, this actually was the very first business I did. You can get lots of the stuff at Pawn Shops or on Craigslist used for a good price. I would say a good vacuum first, washing utensils and then a pressure washer generator, try and get a quite running one.

What I did was start in the residential areas, in that way I could use the clients power and water. As my funds and clients built up I got into washing at commercial spaces where you would need to have your own everything. The key to this business is trust, people have to be able to trust you with their vehicle and it's contents. So make sure you look presentably, get maybe one or two shirts with your name and some simple logo so you look legit and just market like crazy and do a good job. Always ask for referrals, and give out tons of business cards in the areas you serve.

You can also rent equipment you don't have for now as well, so book several shampoo's in one day and rent the machine from HomeDepot for the day, same with the generator and pressure washer. Also put a nice heavy orbiter and buffer on the list as well. Look to buy your stuff also wholesale if you can as this will save you some money and you get commercial grade stuff which typically perform better.

Hope this helps if I can be of additional assistance please let me know.

How to covert a 2001 acura integra with an automatic transmission into a manual?

pressure washer ebay on Nilfisk pressure washer patio cleaner attachment | eBay
pressure washer ebay image

Just anoth

I have a 2001 acura integra. I love my car but saddly it is an automatic. What would I need to convert it into a manual. Time and money are not a factor

Answer
if money is not a factor go for it, it may cost alot.

"I just did an auto to manual swap over the weekend. I did all my research on this forum. Not all
of the threads were complete, so I decided to make a complete one.

I already had turbo in my car, but it sucked because it was an auto. This was worth it.
I have a 97 Integra LS.

Parts list

1. Manual Tranny with the fork and pilot bearing and flywheel cover. (I gotta LS for my turbo setup)
2. Clutch with pressure plate (I gotta Clutch Master from Ultrarev.com $409)
3. Flywheel (I gotta Clutch Master from Ultrarev.com $187)
4. All flywheel and pressure plate bolts (automatic ones are different)
5. Manual Starter with the 2 bolts (one long and one short)
6. Front tranny mount
7. Manual Rear support bracket (the one in the back that connects the tranny and the block)
8. Manual Front Tranny mount (it's the arm with 3 holes in it, the automatic is different)
9. Upper Tranny Conversion mount (I got mine from Hasport for $175, its a must, unless you want to modify
a stock manual mount. The automatic mount will not fit.)
10. clutch pedal (brake and gas are optional, I just cut my brake smaller and got
covers for the pedals. looks alright.
11. clutch master with clutch reseviour
12. slave cylinder
13. hard clutch lines going from clutch master to slave cylinder
14. soft clutch line between the hard clutch lines and slave cylinder
15. shift linkages with the pin and clamp for the shifter and
the 2 washers and bolt that support the stablizer
16. shifter
17. shift knob (skunk2)
18. manual shift console with shift boot
19. Everyone says that you need manaul axels and intermediate shaft, but
I was able to get away with using my automatic ones. But if you're not sure
get the manual ones. I wasn't sure either, but I had a set when I bought the tranny.
20. Optional Manual ECU. I bought one, but didn't use it becuase the wiring harness is different
for automatics. My automatic one works just fine.
21. All the nuts and bolts to bolt in the new parts. Look on http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/ to see what you need.
You're probably going to need all the tranny bolts, the three bolts for the front tranny mount,
the starter bolts, the shift linkage bolts, flywheel, and pressure plate bolts, also optional is
the silver arm that connects the tranny and block from the bottom. the automatic one is different.
22. Crucial tools: Something to cut metal, breaker bar, drill, and torque wrench for flywheel and pressure plate (19 lbs)
I was able to do the swap with a 137 piece crafsman tool set. You'll also need some sheet metal.

Getting Started

1. I spent over a year collecting the parts, its up to you on how long you want to search. I searched ebay and junk yards.
Make sure you get the right parts, people on ebay sell automatic parts listed as manual parts.
Make sure you know your stuff.

2. I took whole motor out (highly recommended) because it's easier that way and I need to change the timing belt.
You also need to take out the automatic shifter console. Make sure it's in Park.

3. Once you get the motor out, take off the automatic tranny and all the torque converter.

4. Put the flywheel with bearing, clutch, and pressure plate on. Make sure you torque it right with a torque wrench.

5. Make sure your tranny has the right pilot bearing. I got one from Clutch Master that came with my
clutch. It did not work. It was too thick. I had to take my tranny out again to replace it when
I was done. What a pain in the A$$.

6. Bolt on the tranny. If you want, you can test the tranny if it works. Put it into first gear
with the shift linkage, put an axel in one side and turn it to see if the cluch is gripping.
You'll know it's gripping if the other side where the axel goes in is also turning.
This is what I should have done before I put the motor back in.

7. The automatic tranny had an extra throttle cable and clips. The manual one only needs the
speed sensor and the the reverse lights

8. Just put the motor back in and all your axels and stuff and Add your fluids.

9. Where the automatic shifter is, there's a cover welded onto the bottom to protect the cable.
That needs to be cut out. I cut mine out from inside the car. If you don't cut it out, the
shift linkage will not fit. Just cover it up with sheet metal later with silicone to seal it.

10. You'll also need to drill the 2 holes to bolt up the shiftl linkage stablizer bar. They're
already marked for you. It's the 2 outline of holes that aren't drilled yet.

11. Put the clutch lines in with teflon tape. They don't need to be bolted on. I just left mine hanging.
Then you need to put in the clutch pedal and bleed the clutch.

12. When the shifter and clutch is in, the you'll want to do the wiring. I found this picture on the internet.
It really helped alot, but the directions where kinda of confusing so I cleaned it up a little.

On the shifter for the aut

How do u flush a fuel sytem on a car?

i have an old second gen firebird that im fixing up and i need to flush the fule system. how would i got about this?

Answer
The BEST way is to remove the tank, empty it, and blow it out with a compressed air-line. Check it doesn't have any rust in it, if it does, add gravel and use a pressure-washer for 20 minutes, to get the gravel to scour it clean. Then use a fuel-tank sealer - key that in on eBay, all of them work well.

Change the rubber parts of your fuel lines, as pin-holes can be almost invisible. Blow compressed air through the metal fuel pipes, after disconnecting the other end. Refit with a new filter, and use ALL NEW clips. You will NEVER have another fuel-line problem with that car!

Nozzle is adjustable - High Pressure or Low Pressure plus
Stream or Fan.

There are two coats of paint on the concrete.
Latex - Light Brown paint with Green (unknown paint type) underneath.

I have accidentally removed paint on otyher materials but never tried intentionally removing all paint from a concrete surface. Can I do this? Should I use some sort of solvent/cleaner in conjunction with the washer?

Thanks!

That thing will almost blast anything off,try it most likely it will work,my neighbor just used one around his house and it took of old grass carpet that they use to put on outside steps. So try it you have nothing to lose except your paint lol You can also try a hard wire brush to help the process. By the way 2550 psi is alot so id say you have a good chance at it.

I looked underneath the hood of my car, and wondered if I could go to the car wash, and wash underneath the hood with a pressure washer? I've seen this done before, but I think there are certain area's you're supposed to watch out for such as the engine or something like that. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Answer
Nothing should happen by pressure washing under your hood. However i wouldn't take the risk. There is a chance you could water log your alternator, short some wires, screw up a starter etc. I would suggest a degreaser instead. I prefer to use Simple Green.

How to remove CAT water pump from Ridgid Motor?

I have a pressure washer that is Ridgid 3300 psi and i am replacing the motor but i do not know how to remove the water pump and i was wondering if there is any one that knows how to and if they can tell me how they did it and what tools to use. thank you for any more information please email me
estr5160@gmail.com

Answer
It's really just removing the mounting bolts on the pump and pulling it free of the engine. There should be some set screws in the drive shaft you will have to loosen. if you don't see these, find a hole in the drive shaft cover and pull the starter cord a little at a time to rotate the shaft, These holes are there to access the set screws. If you are still having a hard time, you may have to gently break the drive shaft free, check my source on this process.

Answer
Hi Rachael, Iâm Ken with The Home Depot and work in the tools department. The DeWalt website states that the model you have is discontinued.

However you can get the manual for that model and it tells how to adjust the pressure.

It is located on page 10 of the manual. I have provided the link to get the manual. It will take about five minutes to download. Hope this helps.

Answer
pressure washers work off compressed air and water....when mine had that problem it was because the hose coupling was lose. when its lose air leaks out and pressure drops...make sure all hoses for water are tight, also you can check to make sure your faucet is turned all the way out, and check the water filter at the hose connection on the unit...look for any kinks in the line and straighten them out...

What is a good emergency winter kit to have in your car?

pressure washer accident on KARCHER RESIDENTIAL WARRANTY REGISTRATION 1351 Stanford Ave. Englewood ...
pressure washer accident image

My Answers

Answer
Smart things that came with the car that should stay in the car:
*spare tire (remember to check its tire pressure every so often!)
*emergency tire jack and tire iron
*owner's manual and manual supplements

Here's a good listing of some other stuff that you should carry in your car:
http://www.cartalk.com/content/features/roadside/

But for my listing:
*first aid kit (bandages, alcohol wipes, etc.)
*simple tool kit (multifunction tool, a pair of pliers, vice-grips, and a few differently-sized screwdrivers (flathead and phillips), a working flashlight or torch lantern, and a bungee cord or two)
*notebook and pencil (pens dry out or won't work when cold or leak when hot), to help you jot down the other car's information if in an accident for insurance purposes, or for writing down your maintenance history or your fuel log
*phone numbers of your auto insurance agent, your dealer, and any auto service club you belong to
*your cell phone and hopefully its car charger
*tire pressure gage
*combination portable jumpstart kit (with traditional jumper cable leads) with air compressor (and preferrably also with an emergency lantern/hazard lights)
*bottle of extra windshield washer fluid (especially needed in the winter to keep your windshield clean of dirty slush!)
*small blanket or mylar wrap (to keep you warm if necessary, but more commonly to cover/separate your stuff)
*box of tissues
*small trash bag to collect stuff (like used tissues)
*emergency reflective triangle or flares
*cloth rags (to wipe up big stains, or to clean bird droppings off the paint, or for when you check the oil or to wipe your hands...)
*extra set of old clothes (including shoes/boots), just in case you get your shoes/socks wet in weather, or have a messy time eating out, or you suddenly find yourself having to stay overnight somewhere when you didn't expect it...
*a bottle of water or two, and some long-lasting snackfoods (like nuts or a powerbar or jerky) in case you are stuck in your car somewhere...

and depending on the season and where you travel:
*good quality combination snow brush and ice scraper (hopefully strong, so it won't break from scraping and extended use, and preferably with the ice scraper on the opposite side as the snow brush, to prevent you from scratching your paint while clearing snow)
*portable folding shovel (in case you need to dig out your car from the plows or fallen snow, or if you're in a ditch)
*tire chains

How can someone lose both arms when a blackhawk tyre explodes? (Apparently this happened in Iraq)?

Mark in Ja

This happened in Iraq according to a news article I read today. And another soilder was killed in the same incident. The helicopter was apparently on the ground.

Answer
This happened in my unit (E COMPANY 5-158th AVN) while I was downrange in OIF1 (2003-2004). The contributing factors were as follows......

1. The soldiers in question (1 of died in the incident, while one only lost both arms) were servicing (filling the tire with pressurized nitrogen)a main landing gear tire on a UH60A Blackhawk helicopter. They did not follow the proper procedures, which are clearly stated in the servicing manual (TM1-1520-237-23-1)

2. Soldier A (the fatality) was kneeling next to the tire, directly in front of the rim, instead of off to the side.

3. Soldier B (the one who lost his arms) was operating the tire inflation kit with his arms extended between the rim and the other soldier.

4. The UH60 uses a split rim design, which means the rim is two pieces (picture a car rim cut down the center vertically) held together (in the case of this rim) by 7 bolt, washer, and nut setups.

5. The nitrogen servicing cart has a low and a high pressure side, the low pressure side is capable of 50-300psig (pounds per square inch, guaged), while the high pressure side is capable of 150-3,000psig. When servicing a uh60 tire, one must take care to use the low pressure sude, since the tire is only supposed to be inflated to about 150psig.
6. The soldiers hooked the tire inflation kit to the high pressure side of the servicing cart. When they opened the valve on the tank and then tried to service the tire, they shot 3,000 psig into a tire and rim assembly designed for a much, much lower pressure. This overpressure caused the explosive failure of the rim hardware, resulting in the rim blowing apart, directly through Soldier B's arms, and into the chest of Soldier A. Only the quick reaction of a friend of mine did Soldier B manage to live. He used his blet and Soldier B's belt to turniquet the soldier's arms above the elbows. Soldier A was dead almost instantly from catching the rim in the chest at 3,000 pouns per square inch pressure.

While this was a tragic loss to the families involved, it was an accident. I almost made the same mistake myself, thank God, it was caught in time.

My cousin is being released from jail. What now? ?

As I'm sure you can assume, being an ex-con he will have a hard time finding a job, and without the means he is unable to leave the area in which he has problems before entering jail. It's as though he is set up to fail; I would really like to know what his options are. He lives in New York City, are there any organizations that can help get a job, and get on his feet? Preferably faith-based (Christian), but if not it's okay.'

Please let me know your thoughts, and suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Answer
Start a detail hand car wash service. After doing it at his residence or a friends, or a local business parking lot using a bucket and hose he can Eventually, mount a pressure washer on a trailer and take it mobile. Car dealerships will contract with him to clean all the cars on the lot on a scheduled basis. Clean windows in strip malls. Cut grass for the locals for 20 to 40 dollars. ETC. there is a way for an industrious person. Those looking for a handout, wanting to blame others for their failures; they are not worth helping as they will always find an excuse for you to enable their failure and blame you, others, or government for it.

I'm unfocused, bi -polar, full time student, dealing w/ a suicidal bf, crazy parents & son: who i neglect help?

psychologi

I'm 27, enrolled full-time in school, i have no job because my folks said they would help me w/ school. Turns out they aren't going to help w/ anything other then letting me sleep in their house. They do however do a lot for my son. Since I had him I've worked Full-Time jobs. But last year I had a nervous breakdown from so many years of emotional and mental abuse. I messed up a relationship w/ a man that really cared about me and my son lived him. I quit my job and started working some dead end in the mall job. It was like I'd gone back to being 17, and I still feel like I'm there, and I can't stand it. My current boyfriend, well ex technically, but not, it's complicating...well he suffers from extreme depression and suicidal tendencies. He just went to a mental hospital for a few days, he's out and ok, but I feel like his family is depending on me for some things, that adds more pressure to things. My parents and I don't get along at all. My dad doesn't have the ability to listen to a question w/out snapping and yelling at you, then saying stuff to make you feel like shit, my mother nags me. "If you cook, you clean!" Even if I make dinner for the house, etc I get to clean all of it, regardless of what kind of day I've had. And it has to be put back in the exact order that it was before. Then there is the fact that I get to do laundry maybe once a week, and 1 load. She is alway using the washer and dryer. Ok I can deal w/ that, but I need to be able to. Then I get the, "well make sure you take all of it out, cause I don't want to deal with it later" bit. My son, is eating more and gaining weight and I'm concerned that he is starting to get depressed and feels rejected. He most likely is. I have 4 classes in school right now and I'm surrounded by 18 yr old kids, most of which laugh at the teacher or don't do their work when required, and the responsibility lands in my lap. I have like a 3.76 gpa, i don't want that to go down cause of some punk ass kids. Then when I confront the teacher about it, then he's like well this is the first go around, the final they won't get credit. I'm like ok, that's good, they are gonna pass the class because you won't knock their grades down cause they lack any form of knowledge in the subject? Are you KIDDING ME? My living quarters is a disaster, I have cloths, trash, cds, magic the gathering cards, comic books, all stacked in a 12X3 walk in closet or so it seems. I want to sell the magic cards and comics to make some money, but I never get around to it. My son, is always like hey mom, check out this blaster...my responses are sometimes ok sure, other times i'm like go occupy yourself I'm in the worst mood. I don't want to take it out on him, so I guess I push him away. I feel like shit, I feel hopeless, and I have no clue what to do. Someone, anyone, please answer and give me thoughts, ideas, anything cause I'm lost and falling deeper and deeper into a place I just don't want to go, despair, extreme depression, and failure.

Answer
Relationship is all about looking at how you are dealing in those circumstances
rather than looking at what the circumstances are doing to you, or how the person is behaving with you or saying to you, it is how u react!!!!!!
Looking at ur actions ur words ur feeelings is better than
blaming how the oter person is doing or what he is saying...lollzzzz

Is a 2000 PSI pressure washer good enough to clean siding?

I need to know if a Gas powered 2000 PSI pressure washer, is hi powered enough to clean dirty vinyl siding.

Answer
Yes and maybe to powerful if not done correctly. Spraying in the downward direction will help reduece the chances of getting water behind the siding. If you can not spray in a downward manner then spray straight on, never spray upwards and don not hold the wand to close as this can cut into and damage the siding.

How can I remove mold and mildew from the outside of my house. What would you like to ask?

chef1day47

I have vinyl siding on my home and on end of the house there is moldy type mildew growing covering the siding. The siding is white and this green goo looks awful. What is the best cleaner to get rid of it? I have a pressure washer. Someone told me to try "job max" (found at Home Depot). Is there any home remedy I can try first? Maybe a little bleach and water?

Answer
Some hot water, soap and bleach. Scrub with a long handled scrub brush. Then spray to rinse well. Be careful with with a pressure washer on vinyl siding, it can rip a hole right in it, if you turn it on too strong.
