Bought a Dewalt pressure washer, FedEx guy mistreated it, it was completely covered in oil, will it still work?

spidey

The seller started a claim with FedEx, but my main concern is the engine and pump. There is no physical damage to the engine and I wiped off most of the oil, I took the carburetor off, wiped and cleaned it using a air-intake cleaner spray can, and engine degreaser on the rest of the outer shell of the engine, I took the muffler off because it is still dripping a little bit of oil. I have NOT started the engine yet. what else can I do to insure smooth operation?

Answer
So far; so good. Now remove the spark plug and make sure you get as much oil as possible out of the combustion chamber. Pull the engine through a couple of times with the plug out. Then check the crankcase and make sure you have sufficient oil to safely run the motor. Check the oil level in the pump too.
If you even suspect that you have missed something take the unit to a small engine shop and have them check it over.

air compressor, and pressure washer? where can i find them?

sean l

im on a tight budget, and i need an air compressor and a pressure washer, but... it has to be (btw im using them to make snow!)

Air Compressor - electric or gas: rated for continuous use (not oil free) with a minimum output of 5.4CFM at 90PSI. (Minimum maintained operation pressure of 50psi)
recommended the SAH-5490AC 5.4 CFM Air Compressor.

Pressure Washer - any electric or gas: rated from 1.3GPM to 2.1GPM (more water equals more snow) with a pressure range of 1200psi to 2500psi.
what im meaning to ask is anybody know of these specefic items with those specs

Answer
I'm thinking you should be at your neighborhood Menard's, or Lowe's, or Home Depot or some industrial supply house, looking for these items. You'd probably have better luck than looking here.
