Plz Help...? about a pressure washer?

Daniel

I have a Coleman Powermate 2400 PSI 2.3 GPM Pressure Washer and when I hook the water up to it, it makes it die. What is wrong with it? What can I do to fix it?
i have the water hooked up and when i pull the trigger it boggs down and dies

Answer
daniel, it could be a whole lot of things. you should have the water hooked up and running before you even start it.
does it start easily; how long does it run; has it been fine, and just started this; have fresh gas; clean air filter.
have you checked anything on it or know how.
would be glad to try and help. post some update or email or such.

Engine has compression, spark, fuel, air, and exhaust...still won't start?

This is a 10 HP coleman engine, attached to a generator that someone gave me.
This engine doesn't even want to putter.
Yes sir, the spark plug is wet with fuel. I just checked the spark at the wire. Maybe I should buy a new sparky.

Answer
Does it have fresh gas. The gas may be contaminated or old. If it has just a small amount of water in it, it will not start.

I see this all the time in generators, pressure washer and things like that because they are usually used once and sit for long periods before they are used again. Gas starts to go bad in a month to 6 weeks.
