when i turn on my power craft pressure washer it keeps starting & stopping like thump thump thump and the pressure is low can you tell me what might be the problem.
It came with a 3 year warranty so hoping that it might be able to get fixed, if i can find the receipt that is

what is the water pressure from the garden hose to the unit??? is it possible there is a filter at the hose connection to the unit??? those machines make a thump noise as it is normal.. go to another location and try the pump washer to see if it works ok... the hose needs to be on medium force but the unit cannot handle full force.

Answer
When dealing with a "Pressure" problem always start from the source.
Then by process of eleimation, find out what is wrong.
First check the water flow/pressure from the inlet...insure the filter is not clogged.
Next check the pump....remove the hose from the pressure washer, turn on the water source and then turn on the pump. There should be a marked difference in the flow.
Keep checking...Could be a few things.
Pressure Regulator Bad
Temperature check valve bad
Internal check valves stuck/bad
Generally if it is not "Holding" pressure while gun is in the off postion, water is bypassing somewhere.
