Best cleaner to pressure wash a deck?

Butterfly

I'll be using bleach for the siding of the house. If I ask at Home Depot or Lowe's they will just try to sell me something. Wasn't sure if the bleach would harm the wood.

Answer
Glad you asked before doing. Bleach and other deck wash products tend to soften the wood so when you power wash you leave lines or "fur" in the boards. I've done at least 100 decks in my time, and I've found it best just to use the force of the water for an even smooth finish. Also it is best to use a real power washer, not a home owners special like those found at Home Depot. Go rent a 2500 p.s.i. at your local rental place, there only like $85. You will be so glad you did.

I am painting the concrete foundation around my house which has peeling paint. How do I prep and paint it?

I have to paint it on my home in order to close and get down payment assistance.

Answer
Sand blast method is the standard, you can also use a high power pressure washer to remove flaking paint. You can rent either one and in rental store the caters to construction.

Once removed go to Lowe's and or home depot and by water block paint.
What the realtor wants is the re Application of the water barrier. It is generally white but you can have the paint department add color. This waterproof paint acts as an additional barrier from moisture or mold to your walls of your sub basement and or crawlspace. This is by no means cheap. the water proofing is usually 70-130 for a five gallon container which doesn't cover two coats on most houses.
