Anyone know about small pressure washers?

Billabong

I've got a fairly new Craftsman pressure washer (Briggs engine). This thing has been giving me trouble lately. Basically, I'm not sure if it's the pump or engine. What it does ... mostly when it's idling and less frequent when spraying I get this "kickback" or "snap" that you can hear and feel in the wand. Almost like the engine is missing or like the pump is failing. Sometimes I have to trigger several times before I get steady pressure. The only thing I've added on it recently was a high pressure side soap injector. It seems like the problem is stemming from the pump but I'm not sure. I don't have a lot of hours on this one at all.

Answer
it almost sounds as if you are sucking air make sure your water connections at the house are tight also when not in use make sure your soap injector valve is off you want too keep that pump from freezing also because those ceramic pistons are expensive they cost me $ 35 a pop I was lucky I only needed 1

excell pressure washer no pressure?

Answer
Try cleaning out the nozzle at the end of the wand. A lot of people think their machine is shot when it is only a piece of sand plugging the nozzle. You may have to poke it out with a small wire, or disassemble the nozzle to get down to the small orifice that is plugged.

Also check to make sure the chemical injector is not open. This would cause you to suck air and get no pressure.
